Friars Court, High Tea and Scenic Run

The following is a report from Stu Priest:

To help me with my research into culinary rumours, 42 members of Oxmog and Spotmog convened at Friars Court, Clanfield for a 'Tour and Tea' on Wednesday 06th June 2012. This was Oxfordshire's gastronomic alternative to the other motoring related 'TT' at the Isle of Man. After a brief history of the farm's buildings and surrounding countryside, Charles Willmer gave us an informative and amusing conducted tour of the gardens and eco-friendly projects that are taking place. We then all settled down to a Cream Tea that proved very popular - everything home-made. Speaking personally, it reawakened an interest in strawberry jam,.... and scones,.... and cake,.... and flapjack,.... more jam.......!
